Ham lands is an amazing area that is full of life and constantly changing. Friends of Ham Lands (FOHL) are working hard to catalogue the life that is there and to work with everyone who has an interest in supporting nature in the best way that people can enjoy. 
Left to itself, as a wilderness, it would soon deteriorate – as rampant and invasive species crowd out the more sensitive plants, block pathways, and colonies the more open scrub and grassland. 
We we have the support of local naturalist and the councils ecology officer to plan the work we do.
