Dawn Chorus Walk on Ham Lands

Sunday 15 May 2022
06:00 to 07:30

Around 27 different species of bird have been spotted on Ham Lands over the year. Birds start singing at different times, and just like an orchestra, there’s a set sequence. Robins, blackbirds and thrushes are first. The pre-dawn singers are joined by woodpigeons, wrens and warblers, while great tits, blue tits, sparrows and finches only add their voices when it’s light enough for them to see.

Bird expert John Gard will be our guide to the sounds of the dawn chorus.

Please book via Eventbrite.
