Ten trained on Thermal Imaging Course
On Thursday 8th September Street Champions, HUG members, Energy Assessors and Richmond Council staff all benefitted from a whole day's training on thermal imaging from thermography specialists FLIR.
The company running that ran the training course, held at Ham Youth Club, are the world's largest infrared training organisation. The Introduction to Building Thermography course gave an oversight into thermal imaging but also trained us in camera operation, image interpretation and using analysis software.
Attendees have agreed to share this knowledge by training others on their course material at two events in the near future. Just in time for the heating season!

Solar PV panels: A talk by Street Champions
Saturday 27th August saw 25 people come along to the Street Champions talk on solar PV panels at Ham Library. An overview of the technologies was followed by talks from four street champions about their experiences of having PV installed. Street_Champions_SolarPV_slides.pdf
One attendee emailed to say: "Many thanks for the Solar Panels event on Saturday at Ham Library, it was very helpful and great to hear the other people's experience of having them fitted. It has spurred me on to persuade my husband to have a new roof put on before March and we can incorporate the panels or tiles within it."
