As part of our aim to inform the community and all interested parties about our project I will be giving a range of talks to different groups over the course of the next year. The first of these was given at the Twickenham and Richmond United Nations Association (TRUNA) AGM. The United Nations Association of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UNA-UK) is the UK's leading source of independent analysis on the UN and a nationwide grassroots movement for peace, development and human rights. It provides the role of a critical friend providing advice to the UK government on UN related issues such as progress towards millennium goals. TRUNA has a wide membership from both sides of the river including members living in both Ham and Teddington. We gave a joint presentation with Colin Cooper from the Richmond Environment Network and Peter Rixon representing the Ham & Petersham Low Carbon Zone.
I will be giving many more talks and will advertise these in advance via our website. If you are interested in attending one please feel to register interest via admin@hamhydro.org and we will let you know when one is happening near you.
