Himalayan Balsam Bashing

Saturday 19 June 2021
10:00 to 12:00

Himalayan Balsam is a serious invasive that is spreading along the riverside in Ham and onto the adjoining nearby land. It is easy to pull out of the ground and it can be left on higher ground to break down. But it has to be pulled up before it comes into flower.

Meet on the towpath, on the bridge across the inlet to Thames Young Mariners (between Teddington Lock and Ham Street Car Park) Or just find us along the Towpath

Himalayan Balsam pulls up very easily – no tools are necessary but wear long trousers, stout footwear, and a pair of gloves.  If it’s likely to be warm bring a hat and some water.
Children are welcome as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
